THY, Pegasus, AJet and SunExpress Pilot Assessment: How to Compare
Candidates often ask which airline's assessment is harder or different. We do not rank airlines and we do not publish unverified details about their internal processes. What we can give you is a practical way to compare them yourself from the official announcements, and a preparation plan that works for the common parts.
What is public, and where to find it
Each of the four airlines announces pilot recruitment, requirements and stages on its own official career pages or announcement channels. Those announcements are the only reliable source for the current requirements, and they can change from one announcement to the next.
A checklist to fill in for each airline
- Licences and ratings required, and whether a type rating is needed.
- Minimum flight experience and any total or PIC hour thresholds.
- Medical class and English proficiency requirements.
- Stages listed: tests, simulator session, interview, group exercise.
- Which simulator type is mentioned, if any (for example Boeing 737 or Airbus A320 family).
- Language of the interview and any documents asked for.
- Dates, deadlines and how to apply.
What the four processes usually have in common
Most airline assessments combine aptitude and psychometric tests, a simulator session that looks at handling, procedures, workload and communication, and a competency-based interview. A preparation plan that covers those three parts is useful for all of them.
How we help you prepare for any of them
We build the plan from the announcement you bring: online practice on AviaCoach for tests, interview and theory, and simulator rehearsal on fixed-base Boeing 737NG and Airbus A320-200 devices at Sky Academy. The devices are not EASA or SHGM qualified and give no licence credit.
Airline-specific pages: THY, Pegasus Airlines, AJet, SunExpress, Corendon Airlines.
Our B737NG and A320-200 simulators are advanced fixed-base training devices. They are not EASA or SHGM qualified and are not an FNPT II. Sessions are supplementary support training and preparation; they do not count towards a licence issue, rating or renewal, and this is not a type rating course.
Sky Aviation does not offer entertainment or experience flights. Our sessions are for pilots and pilot candidates.
Prepare online as well
Practise theory, psychometric and interview questions at your own pace on AviaCoach, our online pilot training platform, then book simulator sessions here. AviaCoach: online preparation for airline assessments and ATPL theory

Frequently asked questions
Which of these airlines has the hardest assessment?
We do not rank airlines. Difficulty depends on the candidate, the year and the announcement, and we do not have verified internal information.
Do these airlines use the same simulator type?
Turkish carriers operate Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737 family aircraft widely, so preparing on both types is useful, but check each announcement for the type it mentions.
Is Sky Aviation connected to these airlines?
No. Sky Aviation is not affiliated with any of them. Names are used only to describe the recruitment processes candidates prepare for.
Are your simulators EASA or SHGM qualified?
No. They are advanced fixed-base training devices, not EASA or SHGM qualified and not an FNPT II. Sessions are supplementary support training and preparation.
